The 2026 National Day Raceday will be held at Sha Tin Racecourse on Thursday, 1 October, in celebration of the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China (Photo 1).

Free admission to the Sha Tin and Happy Valley Racecourse Public Enclosures^ is on offer as well as world-class horse racing and entertainment. Sha Tin opens at 11am with the first race scheduled for 1pm. The highlight is the HK$4.2 million G3 National Day Cup Handicap (1000m), carded as Race 3, and will feature some of Hong Kong racing’s best sprinters – Raging Blizzard, Tomodachi Kokoroe and Beauty Waves.

“China’s Three Tenors” Dai Yuqiang, Warren Mok and Wei Song to perform at Opening Ceremony

The Opening Ceremony is at 11.50am in the Parade Ring. Renowned as China’s Three Tenors, Dai Yuqiang, Warren Mok and Wei Song will make their first-ever joint appearance at Sha Tin, performing a selection of classic songs. The Hong Kong Police Band will accompany them and lead the singing of the national anthem, alongside a Flagpole Acrobatics performance by the Zhongfan Acrobatics team, recognised as part of China's National Intangible Cultural Heritage. Sha Tin Racecourse Delights prize pool increased
