The Hong Kong Reunification Raceday takes place at Sha Tin Racecourse on Wednesday (1 July), marking the 29th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).

Racegoers will enjoy free admission to both the Sha Tin and Happy Valley Racecourse Public Enclosures^. Together with Hong Kong’s world-class horse racing, an array of live music and entertainment is on offer at Sha Tin.

Sha Tin and Happy Valley open for admission at 2pm. As part of the ‘Summer Series’ fixtures, the 11-race public holiday programme at Sha Tin commences at 4pm and is headlined by the Class 2 Hong Kong Reunification Cup Handicap (1400m), the Class 3 Guangdong-Hong Kong Cup Handicap (1000m) and the Friends of Hong Kong Association Cup Handicap.

Zhang Yingxi and FC Tam to perform in Parade Ring
Hong Kong Reunification Raceday will commence with an opening ceremony featuring renowned tenor Zhang Yingxi at Sha Tin at 2.50pm, who will deliver a stirring rendition of the National Anthem, leading the crowd in celebrating the HKSAR’s 29th anniversary. FC Tam of “Midlife, Sing & Shine”, will also performs at the opening ceremony.

Fellow “Midlife, Sing & Shine!” contestants Benson Ngan and Stacey Long will perform classic hits onstage underneath Mezza One throughout the race meeting at Sha Tin.

“Shatin Racecourse Delights” and Photo Challenge
To celebrate Hong Kong Reunification Raceday, “Shatin Racecourse Delights” is offering 71 special prizes. Participate by entering Sha Tin Racecourse and logging into your ‘Classic 3-in-1’ app to access the game page via ‘Discover’.

The first 71 participants to submit the correct answer will receive a designated Sports Brand Shopping Voucher valued at HK$300. The 72nd to 571st participants will receive a designated ‘Racing Buddies’ keychain. @

Capture the excitement on-site, upload the photo to your personal Instagram story or feed with tag @hkjc_community. ‘Gallop For Treasure’ lucky draw
Participants who successfully collect designated e-stamps at specified locations will be eligible to enter a lucky draw. For every one e-stamp collected, participants will receive one lucky draw entry. For example, collecting two e-stamps will earn two lucky draw entries etc.

Participants will have the chance to win a designated 999.9 Pure Gold Ball valued at approximately HK$40,000 (five winners in total). For details, please refer to the campaign website. The event runs from 15 May, 2026 to 15 July, 2026. +

Culinary and shopping discounts
Selected Cantonese set menus at Pak Sing Restaurant in Sha Tin will be offered at a 29% discount for tables of four or more guests, with online reservations available.
