Rod 'Rocket' Douglas remembers well the barrier draw for the 2019 Caulfield Guineas.

Douglas, who is the racing manager for owner Jonothan Munz, had the task of drawing the Caulfield Guineas barriers for the Anthony Freedman-trained stablemates Super Seth and Groundswell prior to the 2019 edition.

Super Seth would eventually jump from barrier four after Douglas plucked gate five in the draw earlier in the week while a scratching inside of Super Seth would secure a start for Groundswell who would go on to run third.

With the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas (1600m) to be run on Saturday, Douglas was at the Guineas barrier draw on Tuesday to draw the gate for the Munz-owned and the Anthony and Sam Freedman-trained Call Me Coach having earlier watched the colt work at Caulfield.

Called on first, Douglas drew barrier 5 for Call Me Coach who will carry the same set of silks as Super Seth and will be ridden by Mark Zahra who guided Super Seth to a last stride win from Alligator Blood.

"We wanted somewhere between three and six as he's an inexperienced horse," Douglas said.

"It's the same barrier I picked with Super Seth who eventually jumped from barrier four.

"Hopefully it's a good omen."

The Freedman father-and-son training team will also saddle Wolf Gap who drew barrier four and will be ridden by Ethan Brown.

Sam Freedman said Brown had learned a lot about Wolf Gap having ridden the colt when fourth in the Caulfield Guineas Prelude (1400m) on September 19.

Super Seth was unplaced in the Caulfield Guineas Prelude before his Guineas victory.

A field of 11 is set to run in the Caulfield Guineas (1600m) on Saturday with champion trainer Chris Waller set to have four in the contest.

Tron Bolt (11), Diameter (9), Central Europe (7) and Somethings Burnin' (3) will represent Waller and all four were at Caulfield on Tuesday morning for a gallop.

The Bjorn Baker-trained Golden Rose winner Warwoven retained his place at the head of Caulfield Guineas betting at $2.50 after coming up with barrier six.

Warwoven is due to travel from Sydney on Thursday and will be stabled with Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young at Cranbourne who will be represented by Blind Raise in Saturday's race.

Blind Raise is unbeaten in two runs this campaign, winning first-up at Sandown on September 5 before scoring in the Guineas Prelude last time out.

With Blake Shinn set to ride, Blind Raise firmed from $3.50 into $3.40 after coming up with barrier two.
